My college years were a happy, productive time. One of the things that I liked about my college (besides it being the best school in Arkansas) was that it was small, with about a thousand students, and thus had small class sizes. One of the things I liked about majoring in math and physics was that these were small departments, and my typical classes were even smaller than the norm. And I recall my favorite class altogether, history of math, where I was the only student enrolled and I got to pick the professor’s brain directly.
It seems to me there’s a correlation.
