Got Glutes?

February 5, 2012

By my observation, tai chi and yoga have more aspects in common than not.  A physical meditative practice rooted in an ancient spiritual tradition, involving regulation of body, breath, and mind; developing core strength, posture, and coordination among the body’s muscles; regulating the circulatory, cardiovascular, and neurological systems of the body and optimizing health and well-being.

Why, then, has yoga exploded in popularity as a practice and as an industry, while tai chi is still relatively obscure?

My theory: maybe it has something to do with the fact that there’s no such thing as “tai chi butt”.
